Black Perinatal Health
Across the United States, Black women and Birthing People continue to face a perinatal health crisis shaped by systemic racism, inequitable access to care, and history of reproductive oppression.
We are committed to changing that story.
We're Raising Donations for
Black Doula Scholarships.
Support our work & make a contribution to our Black Doula Scholarship Fund to help remove financial barriers to doula training, support, and culturally rooted & grounded care. In the U.S, Black birth workers are at the foundation of the Reproductive Justice movement, whose knowledge, traditions, activism, & advocacy continually uplift perinatal health & wellness for all.
Our Black Doula Scholarship Program:
-
Raises funds to reduce financial barriers to entering the birthwork field and provide free or low-cost doula training for Black community members.
-
By investing in Black birthworkers, we are restoring traditions of community care and creating pathways to economic empowerment.

Birthworkers of Color Collective actively advocates for:
-
Policies that address racial disparities in maternal and infant health
-
Expansion of culturally-relevant doula and midwifery care
-
Investment in community-based, culturally rooted care models
-
Accountability in healthcare systems
Because the data is clear: many maternal deaths are preventable, and change requires both community action and systemic transformation.
