We are a Medicaid approved doula training organization!
The Michigan Doula Advisory Council and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services acknowledge our comprehensive full-spectrum doula training for its quality, inclusivity, and impact. When you join our training program, you'll gain the skills needed to support birthing people through all stages of childbirth.
Trainings
IN PERSON DETROIT, MICHIGAN DOULA OF COLOR TRAINING
In Person Doula of Color Training Scholarship
Open to individuals from all backgrounds and experience levels. Participants will receive training at no cost and are eligible for a stipend upon completion of training and post-training requirements which will include approximately four hours of recorded content, Doula Registry approval and becoming a Medicaid doula provider.
This training is three parts:

Mandatory 4 day IN PERSON intensive training taking place in Detroit, Michigan on July 31st - August 3rd (full days 7/31, 8/1, 8/1 and 8/3) from 10 am to 5:30 pm EST.

Additional self-paced learning is available online via the BWOCC Learning Center

Join us for optional live virtual meetings, held on the last Saturday of each month from August - December 2025.
Participant Eligibility:

Michigan resident
-
At least 18 years of age

Plan to become a Michigan Medicaid-enrolled doula provider
-
Have not completed a birth doula training from an MDHHS-Approved Doula Training/Program Organization

Not currently listed on the MDHHS Doula registry as a labor/birth doula
IN PERSON FLINT, MICHIGAN DOULA OF COLOR TRAINING
