Bio

My name is Erin, and I am an able-bodied, cisgender, Black birth doula, born and raised on Tongva land (Los Angeles). I also work with families who have experienced a loss. My formal education as a birth worker began in October of 2018 through an evidence-based training created by the Birthworkers of Color Collective, an organization led by activists. Being an active member of the collective, my heritage and the communities that I am a part of are not separate from this work, but rather they are guides that I will look to in order to help to re-root us to the power and innate knowledge within, when questions arise. Don't be shy! Set up a no-pressure consultation if you are interested in finding more about how we can partner together to prepare for this very sacred ceremony of birth. Consultations or Doula Interviews are mutually beneficial so do not hesitate to schedule one with me.
